Williams Cuts Natural Gas Production on West Slope

Tulsa-based Williams Cos. said its Piceance Basin natural-gas production was reduced over the past 12 months by 11 percent to 632 million cubic feet a day in the first quarter of 2010.

Phil Wright, the President of Williams’ gas pipeline business, says the completion of the Colorado Hub makes it possible for the company to connect supplies from Colorado’s Piceance Basin with markets in the western United States.

Williams Gets FERC Approval for ‘Colorado Hub’ Pipeline

The 24-inch pipeline will run 27.4 miles, connecting the Meeker/White River hub with Northwest’s existing mainline system south of Rangely, according to the natural gas producer and pipeline operator.
