The station, roughly 30 miles northeast of Denver on County Road 22, will serve the fueling needs of Encana’s subsidiary’s DJ Basin natural gas fleet, as well as supply fuel to the expanding natural gas vehicle fleets of Anadarko and Noble Energy.

The company said Tuesday that it will buy substantially all of the Rocky Mountains oil and gas assets of Petro-Canada Resources Inc. and Suncor Energy America Inc., for $494 million. Included in the purchase is 340 thousand total net acres, nearly 200 thousand of which are located in the Greater DJ Basin in Weld County.

In its environmental assessment of the Noble drilling plan, the agency said both the state and the DOE are adequately addressing issues surrounding the natural gas development near Project Rulison. It will, however, ask the Energy Department to provide long-term monitoring of one of the proposed wells.

Oil and Gas Companies Honored for Environmental,
Community Efforts
The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has honored five oil and gas operators for their efforts to improve the state’s environment, protect rare species and support the communities in which they work. Williams Production Company, Occidental Oil and Gas, Rosetta Resources, EnCana and Noble Energy each received recognition.
