Drilling Regulations
Two years ago the Colorado Oil and Gas Association filed suit against the state after then-Governor Bill Ritter signed House Bill 1292 into law. “We are confident that going forward we will have a place at the table and our concerns will be fairly considered,” Tisha Conoly, COGA Pesident and CEO said.

If elected governor, I will work to make sure that we strike the right balance. In general, the state rules include the best practices of the oil and gas industry. Both of my opponents want to rewrite the rules, but that would be a mistake.

Ritter’s Oil and Gas Rules One Year Later
Both sides would very much like to see changes to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission rules that were so hotly debated prior to enactment. Whether those changes are pursued in another COGCC rulemaking process or in the State Legislature next session depends largely on what happens politically in November.
