CSU Lab Setting for Bill Signing and News on Energy Conservation Study

The Governor was in Fort Collins to put his signature on a bill aimed at increasing private investment in research, development and new technologies. The setting was CSU’s Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory and you couldn’t find a more appropriate venue for the ceremony.

GEO Report Casts Doubt on State Reaching

One of the roadblocks, according to the Renewable Energy Development Infrastructure Report, is the likelihood that actual CO2 emissions in 2020 will be higher than the goal — unless there is a breakthrough in carbon capture and storage, or huge amounts of money are spent on infrastructure.

Aspen Expands Energy Efficiency Mandate
to Commercial Buildings

The City Council voted to expand its Renewable Energy Mitigation Program (REMP) to apply to commercial buildings. It also became the first municipality in the state to adopt the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code.
