DOE Looking at PV Project Near Uranium Tailings
The Department of Energy is seeking comments on an initial study to gauge the environmental impacts of installing a photovoltaic array atop or near buried radioactive tailings in Bodo Canyon a few miles southwest of Durango. The agency would not build or operate the 4.5 megawatt system, but rather inspect and monitor operations.

EPA Report: Vail Resorts Leads State in REC Purchases — Other Colorado Towns and Organizations Also Represented
According to the latest report from the Environmental Protection Agency, Vail Resorts is the state’s top purchaser of renewable-energy credits, and the company ranks 25th overall in the nation. A handful of other Colorado towns and businesses made the list, as well.
