RePower USA Signs Deal for 51 MW Wind Project
The Denver-based US arm of RePower Systems (Germany) will deliver 25 MM92 turbines to multiple state locations next summer and commissioned by the end of 2011. The company has also entered into a long term service and maintenance agreement with EverPower.

Vestas Receives 43 MW Wind Energy Order
The project, which calls for 24 V90-1.8 MW turbines for a Minnesota-based wind farm, “will result in construction jobs and long-term local maintenance positions to be hired,” according to Vestas America President, Martha Wyrsch.
That’s good news for factories in Windsor, Brighton and Pueblo.

The 51-megawatt Kit Carson windpower project near Burlington is now operating, according to Duke Energy. The Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association is buying the power produced by the farm under a 20-year agreement with a Duke subsidiary.

Colorado Wind Farm
As reported previously in Colorado Energy News, the 250-MW project’s entire power output already has been sold under a 25-year power-purchase agreement to Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy company. It is being constructed by Broomfield-based RES Americas.
