$99.9 Million in ARRA Funding to
Colorado Wind Farm

The award to NextEra Energy Resources will be given in lieu of a production tax credit, according to a release announcing the funds from Congresswoman Betsy Markey’s office. The company lists three Logan County projects in its portfolio, totaling 574 megawatts of generating capacity.

Markey Proposes Renewables Energy Tax
Credit for Utilities

“There are substantial costs for integrating renewable energy,” the Congresswoman said. “This bill will relieve the burden faced by utilities bringing intermittent renewable energy like wind and solar online, and help bring down the cost of clean energy production.”
