Residential Solar Financing — Where the Action Is!
It is among the fastest growing categories in the solar industry, with power purchase agreements (PPAs) and leases driving the market. In the first quarter of 2011, they accounted for more than a third of all residential solar sales in Colorado and California, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Range Fuels Hits Financial, Technical Roadblocks
The Denver-area biofuels startup, which had hoped to produce 100 million gallons of cellulosic fuel from wood chips each year, has closed its new biorefinery plant in Georgia because of technical problems, and laid off an undisclosed number of employees. It has also lost, at least for now, key financial support from the DOE.

Solar Disarray
