Resource Alert — The DOE’s Wind Resources Map for Colorado
An area of excellent-to-outstanding resource is located along the Wyoming border north of Fort Collins. The exposed ridge crests of the Front Range, the Continental Divide, and in western Colorado also possess good-to-outstanding wind resource.

New Online Resource Provides Data on Hydraulic Fracturing Chemicals in Colorado
Groundwater Protection Council (GPC) and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission are the organizations behind the new resource. The site can be accessed at www.fracfocus.org.

Six in 10 Americans want the U.S. to reduce greenhouse gas emissions regardless of other countries’ emissions efforts, according to the survey. Only 6% say the U.S. should not reduce its greenhouse emissions. The study also shows only half of Americans have heard of the Keystone XL pipeline. Among those who have heard of the pipeline, 63% support the project.
