Colorado Green Building Guild’s New Digital Outreach
The website is designed to make it easy for consumers to search for Guild members based on the type of project they have, ask specific questions about their projects that building professionals answer online, learn about individual contractor qualifications and experience, and make more informed decisions about who to interview for a project.
“Choosing qualified contractors who ensure the work is done well is one of the biggest challenges for consumers and the industry as a whole,” says Julie Herman, Executive Director of the Guild.
“Our member database will let consumers know what qualifications and trainings our members have with the added bonus of photos and videos and other materials our contractors choose to share about their work.”
The new website also adds a great deal of value for the Guild’s members, according to the organization. In addition to a more robust platform for them to market themselves to consumers, they are now able to use the website to easily communicate and learn from one another as well as be the experts that answer consumer questions.
“All building professionals and suppliers are encouraged to join us and be recognized as market leaders”, says Sandra Weeks, Guild President and owner of Blue Spruce Design and Construction. “We are really excited to engage more of the building community and we have some tremendous new programs this year including more opportunities to earn continuing education credits; the first Annual Green Playhouse Awards and Auction; and, the first Annual Boulder County Green Building Awards in partnership with the Boulder County Business Report.
