Field Notes — E Light Energizes GEXPRO
Energy Conservation Includes Lighting Retrofits and Solar Panels
Updated by Staff
Englewood-based E Light Electric Services recently completed a lighting retrofit for Gexpro at their Denver location on 425 Quivas Street. Additionally, electricians from E Light’s newest division, E Light Wind and Solar, Inc., installed a new, 8.2 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system on the property.
Lighting Upgrade
Gexpro’s 75,000 square foot electrical supply warehouse was in need of energy-efficient and higher output lighting. Low-light conditions from outdated fixtures and 35’-0” high ceilings made the
warehouse dark and difficult to read labels on products. Approximately 204 old light fixtures were removed and E Light service technicians retrofitted 173 new, energy efficient lights. The new, high-bay fluorescent lights utilize half the energy and output more light to the warehouse than the old fixtures and include easier maintenance for the client.
Solar Addition
As a supplier of solar panels, Gexpro wanted an active display of their products and contacted E Light Wind and Solar, Inc. Our electricians installed an 8.2 kW solar photovoltaic system on the property. This system included 36 ground-mount and pole-mount solar panels and is visible from Interstate 25 in downtown Denver.
E Light has also completed a solar project at the Belmar Shopping Center, the largest solar parking structure system in Colorado. Visit their website for further information.
