Abound Solar Gets $12.6 Million Tax Credit from DOE

Loveland-based Abound Solar Inc., a manufacturer of thin-film photovoltaic solar panels, will receive a $12.6 million tax credit from the U.S. Department of Energy for additional manufacturing capacity at its factory near Longmont.
Abound Solar was awarded the credit through a competitive selection process involving a merit review that incorporated job creation, cost effectiveness, impact on greenhouse gas emissions and speed to implementation.
Abound’s administrative offices are in Loveland, it has a research and development laboratory in Fort Collins in addition to the manufacturing plant at 9586 I-25 East Frontage Road east of Longmont.
