Nevada-based CAVU Resources, Inc, an energy company operating in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire up to 10,000 acres of Wind Options (leases) in eastern Colorado.

The award to NextEra Energy Resources will be given in lieu of a production tax credit, according to a release announcing the funds from Congresswoman Betsy Markey’s office. The company lists three Logan County projects in its portfolio, totaling 574 megawatts of generating capacity.
